Today was a lot fun. We only rode a couple hundred miles, however the road between Ozark and Eureka Springs was amazing. A lot of “twistes”, very surreal scenery and 60 degree weather (perfect).
Up and ready to go I advised dad a good day always starts with a good breakfast. Really a must have……So dad found a 5 star restaurant.

The name sounded promising and I’m up for new local restaurants. So we hopped on the bikes and headed there.
Dad made a quick pit stop to get gas, so I thought……I quickly realized the restaurant was inside a truck stop. I’m super excited now (sarcasm 🙂 ).

As we walk-in a friendly hog greeted us. Now I’m even more excited and ready to have a “good” breakfast. Well at least they had bacon …..lol

Breakfast actually ended up being good as I had an omelette and they did have thick cut bacon 🤔.
Now it’s time to get on the road…..let these Harley’s roar….well as long as I continue to avoid hitting the the kill switch 🙂
We stopped on the side of the mountain for this. The picture does not really do it justice. It was very pretty.

As we rode we had to stop to capture this…..I think this is a first to see a sign like this. Basically I interpreted this as “hey stupid go slow or you will fall off the mountain”.

Well ready or not here we go….

Dad is more optimistic then me, but let the fun begin.

Well after observing a few busted road guards (we stayed away from) we made it down safely. It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed it. A little tired after slinging the Harley around to make the curves (a little exaggerated:) )……it was a lot fun
Now on to Eureka Springs to relax and have a cold beer.
So let me setup this story. We arrive in downtown Eureka Springs, which if you don’t know is built into the side of a steep hill. So some of the roads are very steep.
It just so happens that to get to the brewery you have to hike up a really steep road. I have been told that when you get old anything that involves the word hike is a problem. 🙂 sorry dad.
Dad was a trooper again…..sucked it up and started the hiking journey. The picture does not do it justice. It was really steep

I was cheering him on as he was doing great. Then literally an 83 year old lady with a cane started to race him and she pulled away for the win.

No worries dad…..I handed out participation 🏆
We made it to the brewery and had some ice cold local beer that was really good. All and all it was a lot fun.

After beers and relaxing a bit we headed back to the bikes. A little nervous going down all these steps but we made it.
Now on to Branson…..

We pulled into Branson exhausted and ready for a nap and some relaxation. We booked a room here. Which worked out.

After a 😴 we grabbed a Uber and headed to the Paddlewheel. It was a cool local place that had open mic night. I asked dad if we should get up and share our vocals with the town…..lol

So we set outside and enjoyed the live music. If you look closely at the guy on the right he is playing a washboard. What the heck is that (generational thing I guess). He said they were playing Bluegrass which reminded me of our days at Oakdale Park. Good times…..

That’s all for today……I’m exhausted. Stay tuned.
woahhhh that looks like a ton of fun….i think i’ll learn to play the washboard 😉😂
