Today we are headed home after an amazing trip. It really was a lot of fun and some great memories.
Like I said before you have to start your day with a great breakfast. So I “let” 😀 Dad try and redeem himself from the god awful place he picked for dinner to something decent for breakfast. Keep in mind the bar is low.
We arrived at McKees and it looks promising, plus it was close to the motel.
So we order coffee as most people do. To our surprise the spoons in the coffee arrive with some sort of something gross all over them. Then the waitress yells back to the cook “Alliene don’t use them there spoons they haven’t been washed”. Oh good lord so we are definitely below the bar.
So the waitress brought out new cups of coffee…..minus the spoons of course. And eventually breakfast as well. So now we are ready to ride
Dad was a saint and cleaned most of the cow sh** and hay off the bikes this morning. So the Harleys are ready to go.
After pretty much a straight ride home we pulled into my house. Home sweet home at last. Dad still has another 1 1/2 hour ride to his house……he did make it home safe as well.
It was an absolute blast of a trip. In the end we did ~1200 miles through the mountains and National Forrest of Arkansas and back.
Thanks Dad for making the time to do this. As you always say “Keep your head on the swivel”. . ….
