Day 3!!!

Today was a great riding day. We only did 230 miles, but made a lot of stops. We started our day at the Angel Fire bakery.

For some reason all the parking lots here are gravel. So getting in an out is tough on the heavy bikes. No drops so far…knock on wood.

We then headed to Red River. The ride was amazing. Winding roads, beautiful scenery and 60 weather. Perfect…..

We then stopped in Red River to see dads partner’s (business partner #culturedad) wife Brenda.

It was great to see Brenda and her camp site. It was really cool with this great stream full of trout.

We then left out and headed to Pagosa Springs. The ride started out ok but quickly got hot and windy.

We stopped at this random place for lunch. They had amazing fish tacos and weird potatoes. Dad would not eat the potatoes, to much culture I think.

Finally we arrived at Rio Grande National Park. I was very excited, however the excitement was short lived as thunderstorms rolled in 😢. So we had two options: continue riding in the rain or stop and wait……Of course we decided to ride on. Nothing like winding roads, high elevations, steep cliffs and of course rain. It was actually a lot of fun…Dad and I rocked it all the way down. We may have had a line of cars behind us, but we didn’t care. It took a awhile and we even stopped in a tunnel for a few minutes. That was a little crazy with all the cars flying by.

We finally pulled into Pagosa Springs for a cold beer and some rest.

Another day in the books….tomorrow we are headed to Taos….night💤
