Day 6 !!! 2019

Today was our last day of an awesome motorcycle trip. We had a lot of fun. The day started early as we were attempting to beat the heat.

We left Lubbock at 6:15 am and headed home. The ride started out with a nice breeze and no cars.

Sunrise from the road….this did not last long as the winds began to pick up. As we approached a wind farm I got to experience my first dust storm while riding a bike. It was short, but interesting. We took a quick break afterwards

I know right…..lol

We continued our ride making good time. It did get hot, but as long as you were riding the wind kept you cool. If you have ever rode a bike you know what I mean when I say the wind will beat you down.

So true story….the whole trip people would stop and look at Randy’s bike a Triumph (the one I was riding) and comment on how much they liked it. It really is a great looking bike that looks like a beast. Unfortunately, nobody ever said anything about Dads Harley (sorry dad). Until today when we pulled into a gas station in a small small town. This old man pulls up in his old truck and gets out. He looks at both bikes and starts talking to us. He asked about both bikes then he says and I quote “I prefer a Harley made in America vs. some Triumph bike made in China”. What the what ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿคฌ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿคข๐Ÿคฎ. Whatever…….

Dad and I finally made it to Mineral Wells for some much needed lunch.

After lunch we rode on and finally made it home.

It was a great trip and I super enjoyed hanging out with dad. Oh and it’s suppose to be gearsandbeers not gearsandbears. I’m blaming auto correct ๐Ÿค”.

Gearsandbeers round 2 is in the books. Until next year…….
